Russian authorities say three people killed in the Moscow region and one in Belgorod in Ukrainian attacks.
At least five people were killed after Ukraine launched one of its biggest drone offensives against Russia since the war began in 2022. Russian officials said hundreds of drones targeted Moscow and several other regions overnight, marking a sharp escalation in the growing drone war between the two countries.
According to Russian authorities, more than 500 drones were intercepted across multiple regions, including Moscow, Belgorod, and Crimea. Despite Russia’s advanced air defense systems, several drones managed to strike residential areas, industrial facilities, and energy infrastructure. Airports around Moscow temporarily suspended flights, while fires and explosions were reported in different districts.
